Incoming Students
How to Apply ?
1.NOMINATION
You must be nominated by your home institution for the Erasmus exchange with Igdir University.
NOMINATION DEADLINES:
· 30th May for students nominated for the first semester
· 30th November for students nominated for the second semester
2.APPLICATION
APPLICATION DEADLINES:
· 31th June for students applying for the first semester
· 31st December for students applying for the second semester
3. APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
You must send the following documents to Igdir University:
· Copy of your Learning Agreement for Studies
· Copy of the Transcript of Records of the courses completed at the home university.
· Copy of your Passport
· Copy of the Application Form
These documents will be sent scanned, by e-mail, to the Department of International Relations at the following address:

Incoming mobility responsibles
ACCEPTANCE
Igdir University will inform you of its decision as soon as possible after receiving your application. The confirmation of acceptance will be sent by the Department of International Relations of Igdir University to you, by e-mail.
Visa/Residence permit
Even though citizens of most partner countries do not need a visa to Türkiye, you have to consult the nearest Turkish Embassy or Consulate in your country and ask about the visa procedures - after you receive your letters of acceptance. If you come without a proper visa, you may need to pay a fine to the foreigners' office.
The Department of International Relations will guide the students from non-EU countries in order to get a Residence permit.
* Those who have visa exemption are obliged to apply for residence permit since they will stay more than 90 days in Turkey. For the residence permit, the applicants must hold a valid passport at least 60 days longer than their intended period of stay.

Upon Arrival
Contact the Erasmus office for assistance with accommodation and details on the university and the city. The officer responsible for incoming students will provide assistance with your enrolment, information on transportation, campus and other aspects of your stay here.
Accomodation
The Erasmus students can share an flat with other students or stay at private dormitories or accommodate at University’s practice hotel.
Practice Hotel Accommodation
Erasmus incomers may reserve a place at the University’s practice hotel. For the reservation Erasmus office should be informed after the application. The price changes in single,double, twin and triple rooms.

At the end of the stay
At the end of the educational period, students should request the certificate of attendance, duly signed and sealed by the University, from the officer responsible for incoming students. For the transcript of records students should request it from the Department of Student Affairs.
